Carter linked with move to Japan

on 02/17/2013

All Black fly-half Dan Carter is considering a move to Japanese rugby, according to reports.

The 30-year-old star, according to the New Zealand Herald, is interested in a short spell in Japan after the All Blacks’ end-of-season tour, which would be between November and February.

Carter has a sabbatical clause in his contract which has sparked interest in France, where the fly-half had a short spell with Perpignan in 2009.

But Carter has reportedly rejected approaches from Toulon and Racing Metro and is now considering a move to Japan before returning to New Zealand to focus on the All Blacks and their preparations for the next Rugby World Cup.
